Meet Our Management

Leon Lerman

Co-Founder and CEO

Leon brings over a decade of experience in cyber security enterprise sales, channel sales and business development to establish Cynerio as a leading vendor in the healthcare cybersecurity space. Prior to Cynerio Leon was director of sales at Metapacket, where he led the go to market strategy & execution. Prior to that, Leon held sales & sales engineering positions at RSA security, helping the largest enterprises in the region to solve their security problems. Leon served as an expert intelligence officer at 8200 in the IDF. Leon holds a B.Sc in industrial engineering and management from the open university of Israel where he graduated with distinction.

Daniel Brodie

Co-Founder and CTO

Leveraging 15 years of experience in cyber solution development and vulnerability research, Daniel is building Cynerio’s cutting edge technology and bringing it as reality for our customers. Daniel was the VP R&D at Metapacket, where he oversaw the development of an enterprise grade network security solution. Daniel led the research at Lacoon Mobile Security (acquired by Checkpoint), his work was presented in BlackHat US, RSA and other major conferences. Daniel served in 8200 unit and took key part in research projects that won Israel Defense Award.

John D. Halamka, M.D.


John D. Halamka, M.D., is the chief information officer (CIO) at Beth Israel Deaconess System,  chairman of the New England Healthcare Exchange Network (NEHEN), and a practicing emergency physician. He is also  the International Healthcare Innovation professor at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Halamka completed his undergraduate studies at Stanford University, where he received a degree in medical microbiology and a degree in public policy with a focus on technology issues. He entered medical school at the University of California, San Francisco and simultaneously pursued graduate work in bioengineering at the University of California, Berkeley focusing on technology issues in medicine. He completed his residency at Harbor–UCLA Medical Center in the Department of Emergency Medicine.

In his role at BIDMC, Dr. Halamka is responsible for all clinical, financial, administrative, and academic information technology, serving 3,000 doctors, 12,000 employees, and 1,000,000 patients. As chairman of NEHEN, Dr. Halamka oversees clinical and administrative data exchange among the payers, providers, and patients in Massachusetts.   As a Harvard professor, he has served the George W. Bush administration, the Obama administration,  and national governments throughout the world planning their healthcare IT strategy.

Dr. Halamka has authored five books on technology-related issues, hundreds of articles and thousands of posts on the popular Geekdoctor blog.

He runs Unity Farm in Sherborn, MA and serves as caretaker for 150 animals, 30 acres of agricultural production and a cidery/winery.

Amichai Shulman


Amichai Shulman is a cyber security researcher, entrepreneur and investor. Amichai carries 25 years of cyber security experience in military, government and commercial environments. He co founded Imperva in 2002 and served as CTO for the company over 15 years, driving innovation and thought leadership. For the past 18 years Amichai has been involved in leading thought in the cyber security industry through research. He regularly talks in top tier conferences including RSAC, Infosec and BlackHat and his reasearch and commentary gets published in industry magazines such as The Regsiter, Dark Reading and even general press such as New York Times. Amichai accomanied successfuly a number of startup as a seed investor and advisor including (SkyFence and Lacoon) and is currently an adviser and board member for a number of cyber security startup companies. Amichai is also an Adjunt Profesor in the Technion Institue of Technology where he teaches cyber security for under graduate college students and conducts independent research. Amichai holds B.Sc and M.Sc in Comptuer Science.
